Senior Hope Program Services
Senior Hope helps financially challenged seniors overcome a medical crisis by providing one time support and on-going education. Many of the seniors in need of Senior Hope assistance may exceed the required income for Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) yet they are surviving on a limited income of less than $1500 a month. These seniors need medical care but lack the resources to meet the required deductible, coinsurance, and copayments for medical services. Senior Hope program services include assistance with medical supplies, medical services, dental assistance, hearing aides, basic needs, along with directing seniors to educational resources, counseling, and referrals to community agencies that help sustain financially insufficient seniors from a future medical crisis.
Senior Hope Loneliness Project
Many of the seniors served by Senior Hope outlive family members and live far away from relatives. These orphan seniors are childless, unfriended, without surrogates, and live in social isolation. Senior Hope partners with Amazon to provide customized interactive socialization technology designed to decrease perceived loneliness and social isolation among orphaned seniors. The technology engages seniors through social support, increases opportunities for social interaction, addresses maladaptive social cognition, and improves social skills among seniors who are struggling financially and living in isolation.
Senior Hope Passion, Purpose, Action Project
